Progress of "Blue Sky" Action in Intellectual Property Agency Industry in 2021 —— Continue to crack down on unqualified patent agents.
In order to further intensify the crackdown on illegal acts of patent and trademark agency, create a better environment for the development of intellectual property service industry, improve the intellectual property service system, open up the whole chain of intellectual property creation, application, protection, management and service, and promote the high-quality development of intellectual property, China National Intellectual Property Administration continued to further promote the "blue sky" special rectification campaign of intellectual property agency industry in 2021, and organized various localities to continuously crack down on various outstanding illegal acts of patent and trademark agency. Among them, the behavior of unqualified patent agency has caused adverse effects on the patent agency market order, patent quality and the interests of clients. In October 2020, our bureau publicized the administrative punishment cases of unqualified patent agency for the first time, which aroused strong social repercussions and had obvious deterrent effect. Since November 2020, China National Intellectual Property Administration has continued to handle a number of cases involving 71 institutions and individuals, with a total amount of more than 5 million yuan confiscated.
