An earthquake of magnitude 4.8 occurred in Changji, Xinjiang: the earthquake felt slightly in some areas, and the people’s production and living order was normal.
@ Xinjiang Fire News, at 10: 33 on July 20, 2022, an earthquake of magnitude 4.8 occurred in changji city, Changji Prefecture, Xinjiang. The epicenter was located at 44.46 degrees north latitude and 87.15 degrees east longitude, with a focal depth of 23 kilometers. The epicenter was about 427 meters above sea level, 50 kilometers away from changji city and 74 kilometers away from Urumqi. In the past five years, there have been 39 earthquakes of magnitude 3 or above, and the largest earthquake is this one.
After the earthquake, Changji fire rescue detachment quickly assembled the advance team of the special fire station and the full-time headquarters of the detachment to go to the epicenter for exploration. The detachment immediately started the first-level response mechanism of earthquake disasters, and immediately assembled Urumqi detachment, Changji detachment, mobile detachment and Shihezi detachment in the camp area according to the Earthquake Rescue Plan of Xinjiang Fire Rescue Corps, ready for reinforcements at any time.
After contacting the Earthquake Administration and the quick reporters in the epicenter area, it was found that some people felt a slight earthquake in the area and the people’s production and living order were normal.
