Changing the model to increase farmers’ income, tea industry drives poor households to increase their income by 10 thousand yuan a year
Liuzhi Special Zone, the only county-level special zone in China, is one of the 43 key tea planting counties in Guizhou Province, with a total tea planting area of 160,000 mu. The "Jiucengshan" tea brand has won the national geographical indication product, and its core production area is located in Jiucengshan, which has the reputation of "China Liangdu Selenium-enriched Township".
There are eight people in Zhu Zhiyan’s family, a poverty-stricken household in Jianjiang Village. In her spare time outside of taking care of her family, she will do odd jobs in Jiujishan Tea Base of Jiujishan Native Products Development Co., Ltd. to subsidize her family. "The tea garden has odd jobs all year round, and it can come once every few days. When picking tea, it can earn more than 100 yuan from 50 yuan every day according to the amount of tea picked." Zhu Zhiyan said.
In Jiucengshan Tea Base, there are many poor households like Zhu Zhiyan working in tea gardens.
Gong Hua, the chairman of the company, said that the company has four tea gardens with a base of more than 3,000 mu, covering five or six surrounding villages, and is the core production area of the landmark products of "Jiucengshan". The base employs an average of about 100 people every day, and there are more than 200 poor households who work in the base. This year alone, more than 2 million yuan has been paid for the work. "The surrounding villagers are mainly Miao, Buyi, Yi and other ethnic minorities. The elderly and women who work in the base account for more than 90%, and the oldest old man is 70 or 80 years old. The poor people are the first to work in the base, and there are at least 50 yuan’s working expenses every day. The working expenses of the poor people are at least 10,000 yuan a year, and the per capita net income is more than 6,000 yuan. " Gong Hua said.
Located in the Moon River — — Langdai Town in Langdai Tea Industry Belt is six towns in Liuzhi Special Zone with a tea planting area of over 10,000 mu, with a total area of 30,000 mu. Li Wenbo, the mayor of Langdai Town, told the reporter that Langdai Town gave full play to the leading role of business entities, guided farmers to participate in industrial development, and made full use of the establishment of land shares, labor shares, capital shares and phased basic dividend systems to fully benefit farmers and drive them to get rich together. Take Jiucengshan Tea Base as an example: last year, the base employed more than 18,000 people, increasing the income of farmers’ workers by more than 1.5 million yuan; Mobilize the villagers to invest in their own land management rights, and turn the land management rights into cooperative shares. The villagers who have invested in shares cover six administrative villages, and the annual dividend funds reach more than 1.2 million yuan.
At present, the tea industry base in Liuzhi Special Zone has increased farmers’ income by more than 30 million yuan each year, among which poor households have increased their income by more than 8 million yuan. Through the "three changes" reform model, the income of farmers has increased by more than 50 million yuan, of which the income of poor households has increased by more than 10 million yuan.
