In the autumn season, at the western hill slope of Fengman Power Plant, electric power output lines pass by, and iron towers stand among them, one of which has an extraordinary story. "This tower is the No.1 tower of Songdongli transmission line that I participated in." Old Xia Xin, a retired employee of the provincial power transmission and transformation company, once again returned to the tower, excited and proud. "Our electricity is the pioneer. At that time, we left our homes and worked in the dark to get electricity one day earlier!"
Time flies, things change. Since the founding of New China, it has gone through a glorious course of 70 years. With the prosperity of the motherland, Jilin power grid has changed from weak to strong, constantly moving forward, helping local economic development, serving people’s lives, vigorously developing clean energy, and writing a beautiful movement of green, circular and low-carbon development.
In recent years, wind power generation in our province has developed rapidly.
The hope of using electricity to make everything go to waste.
In the early days of the founding of New China, the power supply in the province was often interrupted, and the power grid could not be connected. The installed capacity of power generation equipment was only 226,000 kilowatts, and the transmission lines of 22 kV and above were only 2,704 kilometers.
Since 1953, the state has begun to implement the first five-year plan for national economic construction. As the main power supply source in Northeast China, Fengman Power Plant gradually resumed power generation, supplying a large amount of power to the three northeastern provinces, especially the Liaoning heavy industry base, and the original line capacity could not meet the needs. In order to improve the reliability of power supply to Liaoning Province, the state decided to build a 220kV transmission line from Songfeng (Fengman) to Dongling (Lizhai), which was one of the 156 key projects in China at that time, and the project code was "506".
During the construction of the 220 kV Songdong-Li line, hundreds of power transmission and transformation workers carried wires on their shoulders to pay off the line.
The Songdongli transmission line project broke ground on July 25, 1953, and was officially completed on January 23, 1954 after six months. The line was connected to the grid on January 27 of the same year. The line spans 10 counties (cities) in Jilin and Liaoning provinces, with a total length of 369.25 kilometers and a total of 919 towers. It is the first 220 kV EHV line designed and constructed by itself since the founding of New China, which indicates that the design and construction capacity of EHV lines in China has reached the world advanced level. The completion and commissioning of this line has opened the prelude to the rapid and vigorous development of Jilin power grid.
In 1960s, on the basis of the "First Five-Year Plan" construction, our province gradually increased the power grid construction, in which a number of power grid construction projects such as Jilin 220kV Panshi Primary Substation were put into operation during this period. At the same time, nearly 1000 kilometers of high-voltage transmission lines below 66 kV and some substation projects were completed and put into operation throughout the province, which initially expanded the power grid. In 1970s, the construction of 220kV EHV transmission and transformation project began in the whole province, and Jilin Power Grid ushered in its first construction climax. Before the reform and opening up, the province’s power transformation capacity reached 2.639 million kilowatts, and the transmission lines of 22 kV and above reached 6994.9 kilometers. The province’s electricity consumption increased from 169.9 million kWh in the early days of the founding of New China to 8,891.78 million kWh.

Make good use of electricity to meet the needs of people’s better life
After the reform and opening up, "upstairs and downstairs, lights and telephones; Farming land without cattle and lighting without oil has become the goal pursued by the people. At that time, every household had to buy candles in case of power failure. Factories and shops often encountered power cuts, and rural areas often had power cuts or even no electricity.
In order to solve the problem of power shortage and power restriction in rural areas, Jilin Power Grid focused on "serving agricultural production, rural economy and farmers’ lives" and accelerated the construction of rural power grid. On August 18, 1992, all 60,000 villages in the province were electrified, and the electrification rate of villages reached 100%, making it the province that realized all villages after Beijing, Tianjin and Shanghai. In 1998, rural households in the province were electrified, and the electrification rate of farmers reached 100%.
From 1998 to 2009, Jilin Power Grid successively implemented rural power grid construction and renovation projects, rural power grid improvement projects, power-free areas construction and new rural electrification projects, effectively alleviating the shortage of rural power supply. Since 2010, the investment in the renovation and upgrading of rural power grid has been continuously increased, reaching 10.35 billion yuan, which has alleviated the "bottleneck" problem of rural power supply, eliminated the weak links of county power grid and solved the "low voltage" problem of 712,000 rural users. The reliability rate of rural power supply reached 99.75%, and the qualified rate of comprehensive voltage reached 99.897%. The reliability of rural power grid development made great progress, which significantly improved the power supply capacity in rural areas, promoted the upgrading of rural power consumption and rural economic and social development, and improved the living standards of farmers.

With the continuous improvement of rural power grid construction, the 500 kV backbone grid in our province is also developing rapidly.
Dongfeng Substation, the first 500 kV substation in the development history of Jilin Power Grid, is located near Dongfeng County, which has the reputation of "the hometown of sika deer in China".
"I joined the work in 1987, and I was in Dongfeng Substation. At that time, there was only one group of main transformers, one 500 kV line and five 220 kV lines in the station, but it was of great significance to Jilin Power Grid at that time." Xu Guilin, the substation operation specialist of Dongfeng Branch of State Grid Jilin Maintenance Company, recalled.
On November 16, 1986, Dongfeng 500 kV substation was officially connected to the grid with the successful charging of No.1 main transformer. The station is connected with Liaoyang City, Liaoning Province by 500 kV Fengliao Line, forming a ring-shaped grid connecting Liaoning, Heilongjiang and eastern Inner Mongolia. At the same time, the transmission capacity of Jilin power grid has been effectively improved, and the demand of Fengman and Baishan hydropower plants for power generation has been met, which indicates that the construction level of Jilin power grid has been raised to a new height.
In March 1993, the 500 kV Dong (Feng) Chang (Chun) Ha (Erbin) power transmission and transformation project was completed and put into operation, becoming the first "artery" of power transmission and transformation that runs through the three provinces in the south, northeast and China, and the 500 kV power grid realized the interconnection of the three provinces.
In the 21st century, the construction speed of Jilin power grid is advancing by leaps and bounds. The transmission and transformation projects of 500 kV Liaochang Jihajia, Fangmu Dunbao, Pingbao East and Liaoji Fourth Circuit have been completed and put into operation, and the 220 kV system has developed rapidly. By the end of 2011, there were 9 500 kV substations, 72 220 kV substations and 300 transmission lines with a total length of 118,872.2 km, which basically formed a "zigzag" backbone, and the power grid operation was strongly guaranteed.
At this time, the "four big things" in people’s homes have been quietly replaced by modern appliances such as smart homes and smart home appliances. Electric energy is no longer a scarce and luxury item, but a daily necessity for people’s lives. It has become a reality to enjoy the beautiful life brought by safe and reliable electricity, and the history of "power cut" is gone forever.

Make good use of the call of green development in the new era
Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, green, circular and low-carbon development has become an important concept to lead the energy reform, and Lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets has become the most extensive consensus. Vigorously developing clean energy has also become the main direction to adjust the energy structure.
"There is a wind every year, from spring to winter, two or two soils a day, and it is not enough to make up at night during the day!" It is not difficult to see from this ballad circulating in the west of our province that this black land is rich in wind energy resources.
According to estimates, the potential development capacity of wind energy resources in our province is about 200 million kilowatts, the installed capacity is about 54 million kilowatts, and the area of available wind power field is about 550 square kilometers. As one of the first batch of 7 10 MW wind power bases in China, Tongyu Wind Power Plant, the first wind power plant in our province, was connected to the grid in October 1999.
With the promulgation of the National Renewable Energy Law and related supporting policies, the development of wind energy resources in our province has developed rapidly with an average annual growth rate of 28%. Up to now, the installed capacity of wind power in our province has reached 5.14 million kilowatts, surpassing hydropower to become the second largest power source.
With the gradual maturity of photovoltaic power generation technology, photovoltaic power generation in our province has also entered a period of rapid development. Since Shuangliao Qingda Photovoltaic Power Station, the first photovoltaic power station in the province, was put into operation in 2013, the installed capacity of photovoltaic power generation in the province has reached 2.72 million kilowatts.
Vigorously developing clean energy such as wind power and photovoltaic power generation is an important means to promote the revolution of energy production and consumption and solve the problem of environmental pollution. At the same time, with the increasing installed capacity of new energy, the consumption of clean energy has become an important task of Jilin Power Grid.
When the power supply service comes home, the farmers are happy.
From 2012 to 2018, 16 500 kV power transmission and transformation projects were completed and put into operation in Jilin Power Grid, and the number of 500 kV substations increased to 17, with the transformation capacity reaching 26.855 kV, and the 500 kV lines increased to 5,222 km, which comprehensively strengthened the power transmission capacity of the backbone grid of Jilin Power Grid. Among them, the 500 kV supporting project from Jilin to Zalute was completed and put into production, which greatly improved the export capacity of clean energy in our province.
"In 2018, the cumulative power generation of wind turbines in Jilin was 10.482 billion kWh, and the average utilization hours of wind power was 2,057 hours. The abandoned wind power decreased by 65.83% year-on-year, and the abandoned wind rate dropped to 6.85%. The four indicators of wind power consumption achieved the’ Shuang Sheng Double Drop’, reaching the best level of wind power consumption in our province in the past 10 years." In the winter of 2018, in the classroom of Taixingcun Primary School in dehui city, students’ hands were no longer frozen when writing, and teachers no longer had to wear down jackets for class, thanks to the electric heating renovation project. This project is a demonstration project of cooperation between Jilin Power Grid and dehui city Municipal Government, involving 131 rural primary schools, 699 classes and 8,787 pupils in the city. All the small stoves in the original rural primary schools are transformed into electric heating. After the renovation of clean heating, the quality of study and life of teachers and students has been significantly improved.
Jilin Power Grid combines the factors of regional energy consumption characteristics, potential space planning and power market reform process, and implements it according to local conditions. It promotes electric heating technology in discontinuous heating places such as schools and public buildings, and promotes electromechanical well electrification and agricultural electric irrigation and drainage technology in oilfield drilling and agricultural irrigation and drainage, and promotes electro-pharmaceutical technology in the pharmaceutical field. Up to now, Jilin Power Grid has promoted electric energy instead of increasing electricity by 7.95 billion kWh, and the average annual sales volume has increased by 3.66 percentage points.
Clean substitution is carried out on the power supply side and electric energy substitution is carried out on the power supply side, and the two alternatives achieve the common goal-green development.
Green water and green mountains, the future can be expected. Jilin Power Grid has grown up together with New China, serving the people wholeheartedly and defending the blue sky with actions. From "using electricity" to "making good use of electricity" and then to "making good use of energy", people in Jilin Power Grid have never stopped moving forward, and are constantly moving towards the goal of green development, energy transformation and ubiquitous interconnection.
